Morgan Stanley CEO James Gorman believes that the probability of a recession in Europe is „much more” than 50%.
„For the US, I estimate this risk at about 50/50. In my opinion, it is more significant in Europe. Not 100%, but certainly much more than 50%,” he said in an interview with the Journal du Dimanche.
However, Gorman does not see the recession as a major problem. In his opinion, due to a decrease in economic activity, the world will not collapse, and perhaps he will be able to quickly cope with it.
The CEO of Morgan Stanley believes that the world is unlikely to face uncontrolled inflation. Mass social activity under the influence of the energy crisis seems unlikely to him.
“But there is no doubt that we will live in turbulent times,” Gorman stated.
