The time to take stock has arrived. The Directorate General of Public Finances drew up the results of the 2022 declarative campaign on Tuesday, August 2. Nearly 10.7 million tax households have a balance to pay . The State expects to receive 22.5 billion euros in regularization, which corresponds to an average of 2,103 euros per household.

The rest to be paid is largely linked to the withholding tax, which was not significant enough for them. „This can be explained, for example, if your income increased last year or if you benefited from too large an advance of tax reductions or credits in January 2022”, specified the DGFiP in a note.

The households concerned will be sampled between September and December , in one go if the amount is less than 300 euros or in several times if it is higher.
