Maxim Shepelev will become the new CEO of IC Rosgosstrakh and replace Gennady Galperin in this post, the insurer said in a statement.
Galperin’s three-year labor contract expires on July 19, 2022.
„The new head of the company has ambitious goals to increase the market share in key types of insurance both in retail and in corporate business, continue the technological transformation program, and increase the profitability of core activities. I am sure that Maxim Shepelev, who has not only managerial experience in various insurance companies, but who knows Rosgosstrakh well from the inside, is a worthy candidate for the implementation of these tasks,” said Mikhail Zadornov, President and Chairman of the Board of Otkritie Bank.
Shepelev began working in the financial sector in 2001. The first place of work was the Bank of Moscow, where he rose from a specialist to senior positions in the investment division of the bank. Shepelev entered the insurance business in 2008 and since then has worked in senior positions in various insurance companies. Shepelev has been working in IC Rosgosstrakh since 2017, joined the board of the company, in 2018-2019. led the financial unit of the insurer, since 2020 – the operating director of the company.
Galperin headed Rosgosstrakh in July 2019, from March 2011 to May 2019 he served as CEO, Chairman of the Board of IC VTB Insurance.
Otkritie Bank directly controls almost 100% of the shares of IC Rosgosstrakh (99.4% – directly, 0.2% – indirectly). Rosgosstrakh entered the Otkritie perimeter in 2017 as part of the bank’s reorganization.
