Moscow. June 24. INTERFAX.RU – Exchange prices for liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LHG) in the outgoing week updated the historical anti-record for the second time in June. This is evidenced by the data of the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange (SPIMEX).
As of June 24, the cost of a ton of LPG dropped to 5,529 thousand rubles. The overall decline for the week amounted to 12.9%. Prices for LPG for the second time in a month have updated a historical low. The previous one was set on the basis of the results of the first trading week of June, when they fell to 6.583 thousand rubles per ton.
According to the chief analyst for macroeconomics, oil and oil products markets of Petroleum Trading LLC (the largest private fuel trader) Andrey Dyachenko, the current drop in LPG prices is due to the loss of export markets, and the supply of this type of fuel for domestic demand is too excessive.
