The region continues to actively prepare for winter. On the gas day of August 5 (ends at 07:00 Moscow time on August 6), almost 72 billion cubic meters of gas is stored in its UGS facilities. UGS filling slightly exceeds 71%. Maintaining the daily injection rate at July levels (averaging 0.36 percentage points per day) in the coming weeks will allow the EU to reach the target level of storage occupancy of 80% by the end of August and 90% by the end of September.
At the same time, the data of gas transmission operators indicate that gas supplies from Russia along the main routes – in transit through Ukraine and along the Nord Stream – on August 7 are expected to be at the level of previous days, which is several times lower than the volumes of the past.
